Professionally developed service contract ensures safe and smooth operation of the plant

Experience / 14.08.2024

Over the past few months, Lawyers of the Law Firm have prepared service agreements for clients that are large companies in the aviation industry for machinery and installations at their plants.

The subject matter of the service agreements included, among other things:

  • performing inspections;
  • remote technical support;
  • troubleshooting
  • performing ongoing repairs;
  • ensuring availability of spare parts.

It was crucial for the maintenance departments of each plant to prepare individual contractual provisions, specifying precisely:

  • response times for both breakdown and repair;
  • times for removing failures and for carrying out repairs;
  • rules for implementing interim solutions;
  • frequency of maintenance and rules for carrying it out;
  • the method of supplying spare parts.

Due to the specific nature of the customers’ business and the need to service highly specialised machinery, also by international entities, contracts were prepared and subsequently negotiated also in English.

Professionally prepared service agreements allow production facilities in any industry to operate efficiently, minimising downtime associated with inspections, repairs and, above all, machine and plant breakdowns.
